This release introduces VM Live Migration, a new Image Library, a redesigned onboarding experience, and in-app notifications.

What's New

VM Live Migration

You can now move a running virtual machine to a different node without shutting it down. Open the VM detail page and click Live Migrate --- Fluid picks a suitable destination and moves the VM for you. If a VM isn't eligible to migrate, the button is disabled and a tooltip explains why.

You can watch migration progress on the VM detail page and review past migrations at any time.

Node selection

The destination node is selected automatically. Manually choosing which node to migrate to is not supported in this release.

Image Library

ISO and image management has moved from individual clusters to a new Image Library at the organisation level. Any image you add is available to every cluster in your organisation.

  • Add images three ways --- upload from your machine, import from a URL, or link to an external URL that Fluid only fetches when the image is deployed.
  • Group your images --- organise images into named groups like "Ubuntu" or "Windows ISOs" so they're easier to find.
  • Control who can use what --- grant view and manage access per group so teams only see the images they need.
  • Deploy to any cluster --- push an image to a target cluster and namespace with a single click.
  • Cancel or resume uploads --- track upload progress in real time and cancel without leaving the page in a broken state.

Redesigned Onboarding

Signing up and joining an organisation is now a guided experience.

  • A new Welcome Wizard walks you through creating your profile and choosing whether to start a new organisation or join an existing one.
  • Users verify their email address during onboarding, with a reminder banner shown until verification is complete.
  • You can now request to join an existing organisation --- owners receive an in-app notification and approve or decline directly.

In-App Notifications

A new Notification Sidebar gives you one place to see everything that needs your attention. Warning notifications stand out visually so you don't miss important items, and when an action is blocked because of permissions you now see a clear message explaining why.
